66 valiant bad acceleration

hi, my 66 valiant will bog down or event quit when i accelerat from a stop. i suspect a vacuum problem--the pcv valve is pretty loose in the valve cover. thanks for any help

i would suspect the accelerator pump shot in the carb before anything. its also possible the fuel pump is taking a dump.

Check your vacuum advance too.(if you have one) pull the vacuum hose off the carb and suck on it. If there is no vacuum held then its the advance diaphragm.

I'd say any or all of the above but also check or change your carb float if you have not already. They get saturated then heavy and cause all kinds of problems. I didn't believe it until I changed mine and it ran much better.

Choke stuck shut? Do you mean the pcv is loose in the push on housing or that housing is loose on the valve cover? There is a nut for the pcv that should be tight.
