'66 Valiant, convert to front steer with R and P

I have been asked to do a 1955 270ci Hemi into 1966 Valiant conversion and needless to say budget is a factor--In order to get exhaust to fit I need the existing steering box removed and would like to go to a front steer with rack and pinion setup for exhaust and oil pan fitment reasons--I'm familiar with the aftermarket kits but would like to do the swap with as many factory parts as possible---Any help from you all would be greatly appreciated--

Do a search on here. "Ackerman angle" is a big problem. It's not as simple as swapping the steering arms around.
