66 Valiant Signet fresh air vents?

I haven't looked, but are the fresh air vent boxes removable out of a 66 Valiant Signet. Passengers vent door is loose. I'd like to remove the box if possible to remount the door. If so how is it removed? Are they just bolted in?

They have two rods that hook to cowl and have a screw on the bottom to remove then they will drop out. open door and you can see the rods. The screws rust in the rods so use WD40 or other oil.

If you have a heater, the pass side box is part of the heater case. You must remove the complete heater case. Really not a big deal.

Thank you. Yes I do have a heater. I will take a look as soon as this weather breaks here in Jersey. Man I hate the winter.

You're welcome, just be sure to use flat blade screwdriver to slip into the lip of the clips in a manner that tries to open the clip rather than drag it off the housing.
