I have a 67 273 solid cam,4spd steel crank engine that I have been using some parts from to clean up to put on mine while I drive it so I don't disable my daily driver. It is missing the oil pan,T cover, water pump, balancer. I am keeping the rockers, push rods & correct valve covers. I will include the other above mentioned parts after I switch them over from my engine. What you see in the pics is how it currently is. $250 obo & pick up in 60108 zip

Did you see that 450HP 273 on youtube? 7500RPM....it can be done....bump

I haven't popped the heads but I'm assuming std since it looks like it has never been apart. I'll pop the heads off this weekend to be sure. How would you get it since your in Canada?

ok no problem. I'll pop the heads off over the weekend & take pics. I will have all the other parts like T cover with bolts, balancer,wp,oil pan, acc's with it but I took these to clean up & paint so I wouldn't have to disable my car to do mine. I bought it as a long block.

I popped the heads & it is std bore but has a slight ridge & may have to go 20-30 over if your going to rebuild it or just freshen it up & use as is. The cylinders look nice though. It has 920 heads on it & 4 valve relief pistons.

If I am correct that is the engine that came out of my 67 Coronet and it had never been out of the car. (I recognize those green valve covers in the back ground)

Its a small world. (if it is it was a 3 speed manual not 4 speed and would have around 94k on it, was a 2bbl motor)

Ha yep. thats the 1. I was going to swap it into my car. I found out that who ever worked on my engine back in CA before I got it didn't know what they were doing & after some minor adjustments it runs like a top. So I just took some parts off this 1 to clean up & paint so I don't have to disable my car. It's my daily driver

Well glad that worked out for you. I can't help but look at it and think I should have kept it...but I find no logic in that seeing as the 5.7 hemi should be shoe horned in next week :thumleft:

To anybody looking at buying, the engine ran well in my car, started right up and drove it around...twas the rest of the car that needed help.

We would figure something out, but maybe come get it.

If you come here to get it, let me know, and I'll treat you to some deep dish Chicago pizza.

Or, I travel to Detroit on a regular basis and can bring it there for you if it will help you. Then you can cross the border into Windsor and take it from there.

I am about 30 minutes from Chuck.

Thanks Karl, much appreciate the offer!! That pizza sounds very very tempting! Gonna have to pass on it....for now anyway..life has been way too busy lately to be able to get away.
