Have any of you tried to restore your own 67-68 Grille surronds?

If so what tips can you give me? Sand and polish tips? Ding removal tips?

If any of you have sent these out to be restored who did you use? And what did it cost you?

I have a few decent ones and a few beat up ones to practice on.

Thanks,Jim

I restored my own. See my pictures on my home page to see what they look like now.
I was a little intimidated, but I figured, they are already ruined so if I mess them up, no harm. I'd end up paying for another set anyways if I didn't atleast give it a go.
The key is patience......
Oh, and very light tapping, no banging the dents out or you will mess them up terribly.

Jim a friend of mine recently had all the trim on his 68 done. I remember him saying it was 900.00. I will ask him who did them. I am trying some out myself doesn't seem extremely difficult. I do recommend a trim hammer and vise.
