67-69 Barracuda Fastback differences?

So would the round ones just need a hole drilled to mount? I have seen some of the side marker lights that had recessed mounting areas in the side panels and don't really want to have to fabricate mounts. If I can drill a hole and mount the side markers from the back, that would work for me. So would the 68 cuda markers work if they were the lit kind? Keep in mind too that my front fender side is quite rounded and not real flat for mounting a side marker. The back is fine for adding something like this. What other models would have had the small round markers? I read that side markers were required starting in 68 being lit or not but required to be lit from 70 on.

There are 2 types of round sidemarker fixtures. Some are flat while others have a convex mounting surface for less that flat panels. Either need just a simple hole drilled and a rubber seal washer ( O ring from a later model headlight bulb works )
