67 Barracuda fender ?

Does anyone know why my drivers side fender on my 67 Barracuda has this hole and what it is for?

Looks like someone took a hatchet to it.

Looks like a piece of metal is missing and has been ripped out. I don't remember any hole like that.

I agree, no factory hole is like that. I would still like to see what area it's in. I can't tell from the pic.

My '67 inner fender had the same hole- from me running an air chisel through it when removing the hard-as-a-rock factory undercoating. tap tap weld weld
