It's been quite a while, but I would think any Speed Equipment Shop (possibly on line, Jegs or the like?) should be able to get you a new Hurst clips & bushing kit.

Just googled Hurst Steel Shifter Bushings and thie was one of the hits

cool thanks just ordered the bushing kit i'll do it this weekend also doing a set of hedman headers.

Great - maybe adjusting the shifter and new bushings will help, maybe not - at least it wont hurt anything . . .have fun

Looks Sweet! Does it have front Discs? Did you get the bushings and clips yet? Wondering if they helped or not. Keep us posted on that.

yes front disc's put new clips in works better but the bushing did fit too big alot tighter but still grinds when shifting too fast

Sounds like the syncros then. http://www.drivetrain.com/parts_cat..._new_process_overhaul_kit.html#SyncroRingKits

It was many years ago that I did one of these. Not too bad hardest part was getting everything back in the case. As I recall I used a lot of grease to hold the gears in place and at one point I had to get a 3/4" brass round stock to hold one of the clusters together and then slide the shaft in as the round stock slid out. If you can find an old Chilton's manual they have instructions. Of you could always go to a Tremic 5 or 6 speed . . . = $$$$$$.

Nice ride.

the first site is a little pricey...Brewers performance would be my suggestion...prices are reasonable and tech advise is awesome...
