Hey guys I bought a front seat out of a 67 barracuda. It looks recently redone. But I was wondering if it was normal for those to not have a lock for the back rest. I mean, the back rest sits back firm but there's no lock. So to get in the back seat u just push the back rest forward. (Super safe right haha) Like I said it's recently redone it looks like so I was wondering if the lock was a feature they left off? I'd like to get it to lock.

Chrysler made the change in 68. The 67's don't lock. I've never had a problem with mine, have you?

The seat back latches were added along with shoulder belts.

well my car is currently without an engine so im not sure if id have a problem or not. its just ive never seen that before. but thats good to know its normal. I justs didnt want the seats flopping around everywhere when i finally did get the car going

They have tension bushings in the hinges. They are made of rubber and steel like motor supports. If the seats "flop around" something is loosen or worm out.
