Hey
That purple wire there is connected direct to the battery.
Protect that from getting grounded accidently.
You'll see it at the alternator's output terminal (stud).
There actually should be a plastic protector around stud but its not there in this photo.
If you follow wire R6 in the diagram, you'll see it connects back to the battery positive.
Those wires are always hot as long as the battery is connected.
If a wrench, or screwdriver, or even a wedding ring connects those wires to ground, there willl be big sparks and/or something will melt.
