Here is my 440 swap. I am posting to discuss problems I faced and solutions had. Oh and to show up a little I guess. The engine is a 76 motor home model rebuilt. 2355 pistons with a 6401 summit cam. TTI headers and a rebuilt 727. Check her out and hit me up if I can help with you project.

Oh and a sharp eye will notice that’s not a mopar rear end. 8 3/4 axles are gold in Louisiana. So it has 4 wheel disc brakes courtesy of the narrowed rear axle.

2” primaries on headers. It has a limited slip with 373 gears.
I have 2" headers on my Duster.I put them on with the very mild 440 and it promptly slowed down.I was upgrading in anticipation of the 505 that is now in there. Hindsight had I kept the mild 440 I would have been better off keeping the tri y headers or going with the 1 3/4 tti for that setup.

You do have a little more gear than I do. Where I noticed the drop off the most was at anything less than full throttle it was lazier and it lost low end and midrange compared to the smaller headers.

Love your project and hope you enjoy it.

Breaking in the cam tonight. She needs a lot more tuning but it’s alive. Car has been down since 1983. So close to road ready.

Indeed.. I found the empty housing and stock axles for my Dart in MS.. worth the drive though. There was an E body complete axle on fb marketplace for a while before it sold.. too wide though.
