Can someone tell me if my new 67 Dart is supposed to have a fender tag?

I can't seem to find it... Maybe previous owner took it off or maybe 67's didn't come with them???

Should be on the driver side fender apron, mine is missing also, I don't know why people always take them.

Thanks! My tag is missing.

Does this mean that I can paint my car any color I want? No one will ever know what the original color of this car was?

or is there another way to find out?

If the car has a build sheet you can tell all of the options, they are usually under the backseat, glove box, under dash, or under front seats.... other places... or missing or taken.

That did it. I have the "Broadcast" sheet. It has the "Paint & Style" number there. :thumleft:

It also matches what is on the 'Certicard'. The first three alphanumeric on card are P6B (is Trim code), 88I (is the Paint & Style), T5 (??), SA (??) and 0II0 (??)

I'll have to figure out how to decode the remainder of the Certicard later I guess.

I just purchased what is left of a gutted, 1/4 mile 67 Dart body. No engine, axle, trans, interior, glass, etc. I can't find a fender tag and the only ID I have is a VIN plate on the left front A-pillar, LP23D72253201. Obviously, there is no broadcast sheet. Is there another way that I can find out how this car was originally equipped?

Make: L = Dodge Dart / Demon

Price Class: P = Premium

Body Type: 23 = 2 Door Hardtop

Drive Train: D = 273 180HP 1-2BBL 8 CYL

Model Year: 7 = 1967

Assembly Plant: 2 = Dodge Main, Hamtramck, MI, USA

Sequence Number: 253201 = 153200th Vehicle

I know it's nice to have more information but you are dealing with a non-performance model that has lost all of it's original parts. You will be time and money ahead to just build it the way you want and enjoy.

^^
Hgufrin, I believe "SA" is standard axle and 0II0 is the assembly date, 01=January, I0=10, (Jan. 10, 1967). I'm guessing "T5" is the Torqueflite, "P6B" is blue trim/seat color, and "88I" is blue exterior.

Just so I know for sure, I am told that the LP (Premium) build makes it a GT car. Is that a fact? If so, would it have necessarily been equipped with bucket seats and a center console?

Just finished looking through it. Great resource! Thanks!

Buckets yes, console optional

Really it doesn't matter what color it was, paint it what you like, without the documentation and if it were a GTS value doesn't change that much on a well built car.

I took the fender tag off mine but still have it there wasn't much on it that matched the car so why use it.

Had a tag made with what the car was built with so in the future when I don't remember or the car gets sold at least it isn't as much of a crap shoot
