Im replacing the turn signal switch in the steering column and have removed all the visible screws but the thicker part of the main body of the switch feels like it doesn’t want to budge. Any hidden attachments I’m not seeing?

Are you pulling the wire harness? You removed the lever screw correct?

If you removed all the screws in order to lift the 2 white plastic pieces out you will have to create slack in the wiring harness, if you remove the cover from the bottom of the steering column you can push some slack up toward the switch. If you are replacing the 2 switch pieces and wiring you will have to remove the connector at the harness in order to pull the wires out, replacement is in reverse

Any trick to pulling the wires out of the white connector? They don't want to budge and I would rather not break any ends off.

There are special tools available for releasing wire terminals from plastic connectors. Shade tree/D.I.Y. owners use keen sewing needles with patience and prayers to defeat the tangs.
I think the exact replacement plastic harness connector is available at some price. With that on hand you could whittle the original off of the terminals. Some will just buy new but different molex connector for male and female sides.

A small flat blade screwdriver(jeweler) and a leather glove if your accident prone like me.

Go in from the wire side for removing, the plastic connector side is designed to prevent pull through of the wire.

Slide the flat blade down the side of retaining clip and twist the blade in toward the center of the plastic connector very gently not a lot of force required once you have the blade in the correct location. you are folding the retaining clip toward the center from both sides. Once that's done the wire will slide right out, very technical, use a magnifying glass if needed and lots of patience. After 1 or 2 you'll be popping them like candy.

I pulled the directional collar from the car, much easier to work vs lying upside down in the car. 2 nuts and the shifter pin.

Correct the retaining tabs before installing back into the plastic connector.

Fold the two sides on to each other with a twist of the screwdriver, not too much force
