Anyone have any ideas what a 68 4dr valiant with a slant might have for a rear end? There is one for sale for cheap but when I called the old guy that answered didn't know and didn't want to crawl under it to count the bolts for me. Any chances that it would have an 8.25? I might have to break down and drive all the way to where he is to check this crummy car out.

/6 = 7 1/4 :D Thats usually the equation for a-bodies
That's not necessarily true Craig,if you remember a while back to the pic. of that orange Duster i bought for parts it was a /6 3-speed on the floor with an 8 3/4 rear!Still have the rear it's gonna be going in my green Duster.
That car also had disc-brakes a front sway bar and houndstooth interior,as far as i could tell it was all original including the rallye wheels.

Well maybe I am just going to have to go take a look at this car. If anything I will take the Dart and it will be a nice cruise.

If it is an auto it will be a 7 1/4. If its a manual it could be a 7 1/4 or a 8 3/4.
