I started the exhaust, I bought TTI H pipe and two set of tail pipes(to cut up to make one set fit) and I have some pieces left over from other exhaust I have done in the past. Exhaust cutouts going in to the H pipe.

Time for the gas tank. Had to cut the corner of the tank to fit the tail pipe. I decided to start with the driver side first, more room for the pipe.

I just could not leave the TTI H pipe alone. I thought it angled too low so I wanted to straighten it out. Then I added the cutouts to the H pipe

All pipes are butted together and tacked in place. I thought I took some pictures of the cutouts getting made and tack welded into place. Must have deleted them by accident. But here are a few pics of the exhaust all tack welded and cleaned up for final welding. I decided to have it Tig instead of me doing with my mig.

I did not want to go with a fuel cell so that required a lot of customizing to a factory tank to fit tail pipes and the 340 stealth fuel system. Lucky they make a stainless steel tank now, so I was able to cut it up and make some cardboard templates. I bought same gauge pieces of stainless and copied the cardboard templates. Tig welded the patches and pressure tested the tank just to double check for leaks.

All welded up. Now I just have drill the holes for the fuel system. I also have to polish up the welds to match the tank shine.

Fuel Pump Installed. Stainless steel not the easiest to drill. I found cooling the bit with water worked really good.

Your project is over the top , looks great . Many years ago I had a 67 fastback I put a 426 Hemi in, this was way before any of the great kits were thought of . I just wacked off the hemi mounts off of a 65 hemi k member and set the motor in place and welded them in .Found a set of the factory headers from a wreaked SS dart and massaged they in place . Things were so much cheaper back them . I have one thought to pass on to you . Your picture showing the spark plug wires have the small boots for the plug tubes , the big boots were used to keep dirt from falling into the tube and going into the motor when pulling the spark plugs , just thought I would mention it . Hate to see anything get ruined with your project . Anyway great work . looking forward to seeing your progress .
