68 Barracuda 4 Speed Console Carpet Question

When I orderd my carpet kit, which was supposed to have a 'console carpet kit' in it, I was expecting more than a rectangle of extra carpet 3 foot long and about a foot and a half wide. I was hoping the kit would contain the pieces I need roughly cut out and ready to fit.

Also, when I bought my car for restoration, the console had no carpet on it other than a carpet covered semicircle that I found in the car. I am assuming it is a cover for the 4 speed hump.

Can anyone help me with some of these questions?

• How far does the carpet come down from the console? Does it go all the way to the main floor?
• How many pieces are there? Where do they start and stop?
• Does the bottom of the carpet get covered with something?
• Does anyone have any templates? or really good pictures?

I sure would appreciate any help.

It seems like the general opinion is that the skirt was all one piece cut on the bias.

I'll try to answer each question under the question....

Yes that is an uber hard to find piece also. Keep it safe.

• How far does the carpet come down from the console? Does it go all the way to the main floor?
  it varies...but not to the floor a couple inches off the bottom console lip to tight with bottom lip
• How many pieces are there? Where do they start and stop?
  One cut piece that joins in the front were it is not seen...
  
• Does the bottom of the carpet get covered with something?
  it is bound on the side (folded about 1/2"and sewn)
  
• Does anyone have any templates? or really good pictures?
  I can get you some pictures of a new cut one not installed?

pm received, here are a couple pictures one shows the actual pattern, the other is the back binding. The chair gives an idea of the carpet length. The chair is about 24" inch wide.
