How is the front grill that houses the turn signals fastened to the car? Does it use clips to hold it in place? I am at a disadvantage of not having the car to look at. I am trying to determine the best way to remove it and then obtain the proper fasteners to replace it. Any and all info about the the front grill will be greatly appreciated.

It has small 5/16 nuts all the way around it if I remember rite. Could be 3/8.

I remember that there was a small nut but does the nut hold a clip on or is the nut on a stud made into the grill?

I want to re-use the grill but those nuts are in tight spot and very very rusty.

There are studs on the back of the grill shell that poke through the header panel and nuts are applied from the back side.

As i recall they are a special fastener that slide into the grill shell and float. I replaced all the factory nuts with nyloc nuts from the hardware store. The studs are either a number 6 or number 8 screw, I don't recall.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to give it a try tomorrow after soaking the fasteners in some WD40.
