Hi guys. Has anyone found a replacement 8-32 u-nut for mounting headlight bezels on 68 Barracuda. The item is not provided in any bezel mounting kit I have found. Need replacement real bad.

A good hardware store should have something. How about a nut and bolt supplier like Fastenal? They are all over the internet to order, all different styles. I bet you can find what you need at Menards even.
The u-nut is very small of which I have not found the likes. It's only 1/4 inch from end to center of opening. They call it an extruded u-nut. It must also be made to accept metal thickness which is I guess 18ga. Not really sure how thick the metal was. Does anyone know that as well? Searched web all day for it. Came up empty.

These look small. At Home Depot. You could always grind them down a little to make them smaller.
One of the holes is elongated thus a j-nut would not stay firmly in place. May work where there is just a hole. This one is not extruded. I don't think it will tighten as much a extruded type will allow. Thanks for spending time on search. Jeff

I have the same car. I researched the sizes and order them off Amazon. I also recall buying some off classic industries but they were pricey and I found something comparable on Amazon.

Yeah, like with a lot of these restoration suppliers, their website sucks. You've gotta call them for this type of item. They've got about 3-4 pages of u-nuts in their massive hard copy catalog. Sounds like you found what you needed though, so that's all that matters.
Yesterday was very frustrating. Your right about the websites. Typically when I call they are looking at their website as well and conversation goes stale quick. Hard to find anything close to these little buggers.
