Can anyone explain to me the purpose of the pressure line necking down from 3/8 to 1/4? I recently converted to the borgeson PS box. I have the TRW pump so they do not have hoses for it. I purchased the metric to -6AN adapters to make my own hoses but now I'm wondering do I make them the same or can I just make it a straight 3/8 hose.

There are proper reproductions that do not change sizes in middle of the hose run.

Some aftermarket hoses do change sizes in middle of the hose run because it costs less to build this way. Gearbox ends all the same. Pump ends vary.
