Probably the most elusive piece of trim in the entire A Body world. It's rough, but it's real!
The strip is intact, but has two major damage area. One is a pretty simple dent, the other is a dent with a small tear. I've repaired stuff like this before by filling with solder and then polishing it out.
This thing will NEVER be show quality, but with some time and patience it can be a damn nice piece for your driver. Asking $75 plus the ride. PM me if interested. Thanks FABO!

how did u get solder to stick to alum. ??

Close the gap as much as possible...from behind, use very coarse paper to really roughen up the aluminum. Clean, flux, and then melt the solder in with a propane torch. I actually just did this last week with a torn piece of wheel trim and it worked perfectly.

Bob, for the most part it is just laying there, stuck to the crack and the roughened area kind of like a metallic bondo. Is it structurally sound? Absolutely not. Does it stay well enough to dress it down and blend it?, yup!
