I've decided to sell my 68 Barracuda Notch.
I bought it from the original owner, out of Seattle and drove it from there to San Jose. It spent about 5 years in San Jose, then I took it with me to Southern Illinois when I moved there. That's where it is now. I have the title in hand.
It's a 318 2bbl 4spd. All original, even has the original trunk mat. I bought it with the intention of building it into a Formula S. As you can see by the pics, that never happened. You see it basically the way I bought it. It's a pretty solid car. I've never heard doors on an old mopar shut as solid as these do. I'm not exaggerating when I say they sound like a new car when they shut. Even the passenger door with the dent in it. I don't know what it is but they sound super solid when they shut. I have an extra passenger door that will go with the car. I bought it just in case the original passenger door couldn't be pulled out. Since the doors sound so solid, I didn't want to change it unless absolutely necessary.
It ran good when I parked it but sounded like it had a lifter ticking. I took the intake and valve covers off to take a look. Guess it turns out that it's an exhaust leak. Not for sure. Lifters and cam looked fine.
I'd like to get $3800 for it with the extra door and original 2bbl carb (has a reman 2bbl on it now)
PM me with any questions, sorry for the slightly grainy pics, it was starting to get dark. I'm currently out of town and can take better pics of it when I get back.
Thanks,
Bruce
