I've decided to sell my 68 Barracuda Notch.

I bought it from the original owner, out of Seattle and drove it from there to San Jose. It spent about 5 years in San Jose, then I took it with me to Southern Illinois when I moved there. That's where it is now. I have the title in hand.

It's a 318 2bbl 4spd. All original, even has the original trunk mat. I bought it with the intention of building it into a Formula S. As you can see by the pics, that never happened. You see it basically the way I bought it. It's a pretty solid car. I've never heard doors on an old mopar shut as solid as these do. I'm not exaggerating when I say they sound like a new car when they shut. Even the passenger door with the dent in it. I don't know what it is but they sound super solid when they shut. I have an extra passenger door that will go with the car. I bought it just in case the original passenger door couldn't be pulled out. Since the doors sound so solid, I didn't want to change it unless absolutely necessary.

It ran good when I parked it but sounded like it had a lifter ticking. I took the intake and valve covers off to take a look. Guess it turns out that it's an exhaust leak. Not for sure. Lifters and cam looked fine.

I'd like to get $3800 for it with the extra door and original 2bbl carb (has a reman 2bbl on it now)

PM me with any questions, sorry for the slightly grainy pics, it was starting to get dark. I'm currently out of town and can take better pics of it when I get back.

Thanks,
Bruce

Looks like a decent start for a project.

Can you take a few shots of the rear window corners, the frame rails, and the front floors?

Thanks, and.....

451Cuda, I will be glad to take some more pics of the car but I won't be back in town from my work trip until around Aug 18. Sorry for the delay. I'll see if I can get someone back home to take some more pics.

Oh yeah, 451 Cuda, forgot to write in the last post, it does have some rust through near the bottom corners of the rear window. That's part of the reason I removed the vinyl top, make sure nothing got under there to rust it out more. The holes are pretty small, about 1/8 of an inch in diameter. The pictures will show it, it's not bad, that's probably the worst spot on the car, the frames are pretty solid. The front floors have some scale in them but not rusted through and feel solid. Good start on a project.

Come on inheritance money!!!!!! Come quickly, come to the fishhhhh, come to me....

Good luck with the sale. Nice ride. It should go quickly I think.

Hi 451 Cuda,

Yes, it's still available. I have lots of calls and interest and people saying they want it but no one has come through with the cash yet. To be fair though, I have been out of town on business and won't be back until this sat.

Hi Krazykuda,

I saw that post earlier today. He's looking for a driver. He'd have to put some money into it to make it a daily driver. But at my price, he'd have some money left over to put into it. Thanks for the head up.

What kind of brakes does the car have? also, LBP or SBP?

A pic of the engine bay would be sweet too

Hi Dave, PM returned.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. Actually had a guy that was interested in buying it, try to talk me into keeping it.

Bringing this back to the top. Lowering the price and now calling it a project. I started digging around into the car a bit more looking for some of the bad stuff.......found some.

Needs lower quarters, front floor pans, corners of rear window, front fenders are a bit soft at the bottom, only about 2-3 inches up, trunk channel corners.

Adding some pics to show the worst.

Added bonus never mentioned in the original ad, has original 8.75 rear end.
