Hi everyone,

Sorry in advance, I know this is a very basic question for most. I am trying to figure out if my car has the original numbers matching engine and transmission...where do I look and what numbers should match? I am looking at my 1968 Plymouth Barracuda with a 318/904 setup...supposedly it is a numbers car.

bump. If any guru's on FABO can help me decode this fender tag for my 68 barracuda I'd greatly appreciate it!

Well, you're in the wrong forum (this is for '66-earlier), but you've got what looks like a July 8, 1968 scheduled production date (708 on lower row). That is a very late build (production began about Aug 1). The number in the lower right is the Order Number and can only be matched to the VIN with a broadcast sheet.

VIN (or partial) should be stamped on the engine and trans where they meet. Early build '68 model year cars were not stamped.
