'68 Barracuda Ralley Dash disassemble

I have the dash out of the car, I got that far without to much trouble. Now I am trying to remove the gauges from the bezel. But I got stuck. I can't remove the knob from the light switch. It should just pull off of the shaft, right?

There should be a push button release on the headlight switch. Push that in and pull the knob.

Like blackbrick says, the pushbutton is on the switch itself under the dash. Push it in and the knob should pull out.
