68 Barracuda Steering Column Trim

We are restoring a 68 Cuda and are presently installing the steering column, as seen in the picture - the column is all the way up against the dash frame but yet there's a huge gap. Is there a missing trim piece that fills that void that we are unaware of?
The trim piece we have is for a 69 Cuda lower steering column.

68 is one year only.
