68 barracuda tacho wiring help please

hello, have asked before, have standard dash going back in my car, has tacho guage inbetween speedo and fuel/temp etc cluster,had a blue wire which i think was to live + a grey with tracer which i have connected to - coil,i ran an earth to back of guage and nothing, any inpup be much appreciated.

I just had mine out and to reconnect the tach,I have 1 black,1 red wire.This was on my 68 Barracuda with tach.

hello, cheers for that, did the dash look like mine, where did you run your two wires,cheers nathan.right im getting somwhere, im running a msd 6a so will be using the tach output on that not a wire to - coil, does anyone know if the standard plymouth tacho is voltage or current triggered please? may need a ballast in there somwhere.
