I removed the two visible mount screws, and the hinge is loose but hung up on something. I've been unable to wiggle it free and I can't see what is preventing it from coming out. Anyone know what I'm missing?

If you haven't yet download a factory service manual from mymopar.com.

The info MIGHT be in there.

I recall that the hinge on 68 up is a pianoish type hinge so I would expect there to be more than two screws.

They might be under the liner (use caution if its old and you don't intend to replace it.)

Yup, there's 4 screws. One on each side of each hinge bracket. IIRC, you have to have the hinge in the open position to remove the screws and then pull it from the dash.

Thanks gents. Problem solved. The two screws I removed affix the hinge to the dashboard. I couldn't see the four door screws from where I was sitting in the car.
