68 Dart steering column rework or swap?

I need some help from FABO members with direct knowledge and experience with steering column modifications. I have a 68 Dart with auto transmission, power steering and the shifter on the column. I want to swap to a console with floor shifter.

If there is a instruction manual or website that answers these question then please direct me there and ignore the following questions.

Can I swap the shifter collar with a collar from another column that doesn't have the shifter lever boss and gear indicator, or would I have to modify the existing collar? What other shift linkage parts will I need to remove, reuse?

You can swap the collar or modify it or replace the whole column. The best bet would be to look at the factory parts manual. It's not a hard swap, but there are a lot of parts.
