Thought I would share this pict with ya's.

this was my first time at the drag strip with the Barracuda. It didnt do too bad . considering that I was on street tires, pump gas, with a 2.76 gear.
13.92 @100 mph. with some sticky tires and a better gear I think it will do much better. was not too bad for just going there pulling off the air cleaner and having fun. was told that I needed my buckett on after that pass.

I was a mess I have not been to the track in 3 years... first time staged rolled through both beams LOL !and had my window down like I was on a sunday drive... over reved it and ran a 14.50 Ewwwww ! after that I was on it right down in to the 13.90's my 60's sucked big time so if I can get them down where they need to be it will run a much better number. couldnt even pull 3rd gear went through the traps in second :) had a great time ! (made a wise decision to leave the bottle turned off after discovering the traction problem that street tires presented.

Thats a great looking notch.
What is the specs on the engine?
I too got 2.76 in the rear of my Formula S , so its great to compare what # I can expect with the ratio.

Laser straight.........That white is nice with the black stripe............That thing would RIIIIIP with 3:55's in it and a set of Drag Radials!

69 superbee might I offer an alternative solution of swapping you my nutless bonestock 318 2 barrel smog motor so you wont have too much power for your tires and it will solve your traction problems. and i will sacrifice the tires on my car to the inevitable burnouts and traction problems.

its just the kind of guy i am give give give till it hurts then give some more:dontknow:

sweet looking car good luck

nothing like going to the track and throwing down some passes huh?, just wait till you get faster, then you will try to go quicker than that and on and on. it's a rush for sure

Thanks folks.

figure after I get the 3.55's and the low gear set in the trans with some drag radials all will be well :) I might be able to get it into the low 13's and spray it into the low 12's I hope to make it back out to milan dragway one more time before the end of the season.

I have just a 0.30 360 9.8.1 with a set of mildly ported J heads. .480 .480 lunati cam ( it is only good to 5800 ) I wanna step the cam up to either a voodoo or a hydrolic roller when I get my E heads. and a dual plane M-1 intake. 750 quick fuel carb. it is really nothing fancy.

I put the bucks into the bottom end of the motor so I would have room to step up later and keep costs down . I figure if I keep the shift points under 6000 this thing should live for a long time. all in all it is just little stump puller. (should be in a 4x4 LOL ) but, the nice thing is that I gets halfway decient milage. I can drive to the track pull off the air cleaner and get out there and go rounds then drive home. other than the gear swap with the low gear set that is planned and some super stock springs I do not have much desire at this time to go any further than that...... unless my rich uncle gets out of the poor house :)
