here's another Barracuda listed on facebook marketplace right now in Java, New York. listing price is $12,000 which seems in line with its condition. here's what the ad says:

1968 Plymouth Barracuda 318v8 904 auto tans car is numbers matching. Asking 12,000 serious inquiries only please. To be frank I don't want to waste your time or mine. Also no trades

Man I'd love to have that! Maybe someday. Hopefully in 5 years or so some deals like that will still be out there and I can snag one up! I think that ship has sailed on my dream of a ebody barracuda so hopefully I can get an A barracuda! To be honest the older I get im starting to like the A body barracuda better anyway lol

dartfreak75 heres my take on what you mentioned. E bodies are sexy looking but waaay overrated IMHO. I owned a 1970 barracuda back in around 86 it was lemon twist yellow. Kept it about 6 months. In that time I did bodywork, and primered the outside. I also put some magnum 500s on it. It had these hard plasticky door panels, door glass rattled in the frames. It felt like a whale when driving it. I mean It was ok. Certainly was no 68-70 B body dodge charger, which was what I was into back then. It was the only E body I ever owned or will ever own. A bodies to me especially 67-69 cudas are like a 68-70 B body charger, but without the huge pricetag. This one shown above is a nice one. Weather it's an older restoration that was kinda not really cared for, or it's a survivor that needs some TLC. Either way most of it looks to be in good enough shape to warrant the price that's being asked for it.

Yea I owned one e body in my life it was a 72 barracuda 318 3 speed . That was the first engine I ever put together myself. I liked the interior but it did ride and drive terribly I thought it was because it was just slap worn out haha

WOW! Exactly what i have always said .

I've owned numerous A,B, E and C bodies. They're all great Mopars.

The E bodies....have the worst 'cowl shake' and general looseness. They also have the worst visibility....as I get older and blinder I've come to realize that visibility out of a car lends a great deal to how well it can be driven. Even if you are young and have 20/10 vision, visibility makes a big difference.

The C bodies are by far the best built and best designed. That stands to reason as they were the high end cars, but people are more than willing to overlook that for the visuals of the B and E bodies. When you put a C up on the highway...you're really driving something. My only real gripe is they take a lot up a lot of garage space!

The B bodies...especially after 1967... are still pretty big cars. The current market for these cars, and E bodies, means getting a honest example of one is difficult and costly.

That leaves the A body....lightest, great styling, and still most affordable.
