68 tail lights on a 67 dart

Has anyone converted 67 dart tail lights to a 68 ? What is required? Will they fit?

My cousin has 69 tail lights on his 67 dart and they fit just fine with no modifacations.

I think you will need change the tail light buckets and not just the lenses.

Yes, Jeff is correct. My 67 has 68 tail lights. The previous owner swapped complete assemblies and front grill (trying to make a GTS tribute) and it looks factory. Here is an old pic from the day I bought it, but you get the idea.

Be aware that the purists will look down their noses at you!! I even had a guy check my VIN and tell his buddy "See?!?! I told you it wasn't a 68!! No side marker lights!!" I told him to pound sand!!!

I tried a friend 69 tail light and housing and it would not fit !

I think the holes in the quarter panel might be different. Seems like there were extra sets of holes the last time I looked closely at it. Sorry, but the car is stored elsewhere or I'd go look at it for you. I think the PO may have had to drill different holes and maybe use different bolts, but it does work and doesn't look bad in my opinion. But my car is driver, not a show car.
