Well with most of the body straightened out I'm looking at in boarding the springs and a possible mini tub. The springs give me about 3" more of existing wheel well to use but mini tubs only get another 1-1/2". Is it worth the work? Is it a make or brake on wheel and tire size? Who has done it?

Guess I will find out for myself. I got the diff pulled out of the way and started the spring relocation project. A little more cleanup and I can weld it up, I'm using sliders on the rear instead of shackles to keep the ride hight down. I shoved a pair of P275/60R 15s under and lowered the car to get an idea of fit in the wheel wells and it would need mini tubbed for these

I got the hangers burned in but my sliders have too large of a bushing for the spring eye so that will take some additional work. Here is a pic of the 440, the trans is also ready but they make for boring pictures LOL

Got the front end done but it looks like I'm going to have to flip the calipers do to the Adco sway bar. Not sure until I have the weight of the car on it to look at clearances unless some one already knows?

Looks Great! Post cars are way cool... I used to run those valvecovers on ym 340... Do a search on the sway, I have a hellwig not a addco, so I cant say for sure, but I think your right you gotta flip the spindles R/L to get the calipers out of the way...

I was looking at that and read a thread about it since the pic was taken. Thanks

Got the spindles flipped and got the car over to where I can start the mini tub project. It was a long summer and was busy working. Now its time. Pics to follow

Drilled out the spot welds and made my cuts to save the inner well. Now to trim things back to the frame. I'm learning as I go as far as the tubs :iconbigg:

I wish my 68 was in primer like that !!!!!! Nice will be watching--Steve

looks like your cross brace behind the back seat is your pinch point. i am doing a 65 valiant and had to trim it back a bit. you should have about 2 3/4" space between the two halves. i did my 67 dart awhile back too.

Got them all welded in seam sealed and under coated but still have to finish in the trunk At least I can figure out how much to cut the diff down and paint the bottom. No pics black wheel wells aren't much to look at :D
