My 69 Dart ignition switch went out and it is a 5 pin switch. I have talked to Mancini, Tony's auto parts, Steven's in Alabama. I have seen some that are 6 pin and say 69 only. Nobody has a listing for a 5 pin switch. My cousin has 2 69 Road Runners and they both have 5 pin switches. My switch went out and I can't find one. My plug is for 5 pin only. Thank you

I wish I could have helped you, but all my switches are 6 pin. The pin that is missing on yours is the GRD or ground pin. I did look at a 69 Barracuda notchback I have for parts but it is missing it's switch, but appears it was a 5 pin also as there is no wire that goes into the connector, though there is a spot for it.

Thanks for the reply. I did find 3 on ebay, new old stock $165-175. Talk about the shaft. I ordered a 6 pin. I will modify my plug so the ground comes threw the plug. Then run a ground wire. That shouls take care of it.

Some of them have a ground that is not used. THIS: is the definitive switching action of all Mopar switches from ?? the first A body to 1976 Numerals do not denote terminal numbers:

1....Main battery in

2...."run" or IGN1" which is hot ONLY in the run position, and not in start

3...."Accessory" which is hot both in "run" and in "accessory" positions

4...."Start" wire which is normally the yellow going out to the starter relay Hot ONLY in start

5..."Bypass" or IGN2 normally brown. This is ALSO hot only in start and feeds the ignition system "full" battery voltage during crank

There may be an extra ground you do not need that
