I have been gathering parts for the last couple of years and finally decided to get on with the project. Just finished it up Sunday night with lots of help from my dad here are some pics of the project hope you like them.
Where we started...
The core bucket seats/headrests and the console...
Same parts restored...
Started the project buy ripping out the interior and had a friend of mine weld in a small patch in the drivers floor that was starting to rust and POR-15'd it. Also had him weld in some fabbed 2x3 subframe connectors (do not have pics of the connectors yet)...
Pass floor was ok but still cleaned it up and POR-15'd it...
Now onto the fun stuff getting it all together!
Locating and mounting the shifter, we used steel rivets to mount the brackets...
All finished...
One of the biggest pains was locating the console's brackets into the correct spots. After a few attempts we finally got it right...
Next came mounting the floor shift column that was rebuilt/restored by my pops...
Fitting and trimming the new Legendary carpet...
Starting to come together now, freshly recovered rear seat installed...
Console reinstalled for the last time...
She's done after 3 days of labor! Finished it off with a Grant repo Tuff wheel, original wood wheel is tucked away for safe keeping...
Missing the console carpet kit it should be here soon to totally finish it off. I am super excited to finally have this done and I would like to give a huge thanks to my dad for all his help with the project it couldn't have been done without his help. I hope you enjoyed the pics.
