69 Dart Grill Question

Found a 340 Swinger in a yard but the grill appears to be incorrect - note the "outside view" (1st pix) the extension by the headlight (same on both sides). The inside view is tough to see but the grill does not come close to the headlight . It does not look broken (just too short) but perhaps I am missing the obvious... any ideas?

the headlight was mounted incorrectly, and they cut the headlight bezel, and added sheet aluminum to the grill...LOL butcher job!

I agree it is a butcher job ... but I think it may be pre-69 fenders.....

Looks like that's a fiberglass fender that they had problems mounting a headlight on.

The headlight is too far outboard. Looks like the headlight bezel was trimmed to fit the modified headlight location. Is this car now yours or still in the yard? As mentioned by 375inStroke, are the fenders 'glass or steel? '67-'69 fenders should all be the same with only the grill and headlight bezels different from year to year.

Based on the "magnet test" you are right - fiberglass!

It is mone now .... engine matches... not sure if I am going to restore or sell. Need to decide...
