Putting an 8.75 in my Dart (408 street strip set up), as I look at the rear end housing that will soon be blasted and coated, I noticed the spring perch welds from the factor look a bit meh. This engine is dyno'd at just under 500hp and ft/lbs. So I'm wondering if it is a good idea to reinforce those spring perches with adding a plate and more welds? I know some people have done this. Is there a kit or a premade piece made for this or do most people just fabbricate their own piece and weld it on? Basically what I am looking to do is weld on end caps to the perch and the rear end.
