69 Dart Swinger, hood pins, Yes or No?

So quick back story, car was in minor accident (I guess you can call it that) so now I am going to get it fixed for my father. The car had these hood locks on it and now that I am getting a new hood I was wondering if I should get the original type hood pins instead. Any suggestions? I attached a pic of the car as it sits now

I've never liked hood pins - I view them as an opportunity to accidentally scuff the paint.

Good luck with the repair - grill make it ok?

Grill is not bad, but I have a new one coming. I figured I want to make the car look as good as possible for my Father

No. Hood pins look good if they came as OEM or with an aftermarket glass hood in my opinion.

If the hood is fiberglass yes. I absolutely hate the pins on my demon. I'm scared to death I might accidentally scratch the paint. Plus the cable rubs on the fenders.

Steel hood. I like the look but i think I am going to pass. If my father wants we can install them later......

No factory hood pins in 1969 unless you had a A12 car. I also do not like the looks of them unless they are factory.
