69 dart swinger instrument circuit board Identification

Hi . Ivan from Down under.. Need a bit of help of this item at back of Dash instrument board. Just looks new and want to confirm that is what the cars in that era have. This looks completely new. Has no markings or brand on it. Help my fellow Mopar Friends.

Easy. That is the connector/ socket for the instrument gauges regulator/ limiter. It originally is a metal can that plugs in there, and operates much like a turn signal flasher. It constantly pulses when in operation, and provides the temp and fuel gauges with an approximate 50% duty cycle on/ off pulse which works out to be about 5-6V average. That device is an aftermarket one, but I don't know who made it.

If you don't have a factory service manual, run over to MyMopar.com and download one, free. You may have to settle for Plymouth vs Dodge in some years.
 
I would buy new replacement cir boards. Yours has a bad pin and has been modified.

Ahhhh well thank you for the time to post and explain it so much easy to understand.. Your a Legend 67Dart273.. Is it a good one or go back to original cos my gauges just are bouncing all over the place. Ya get me.. Don't know my correct speed an an all others..

As my gauges are bouncing around the place and lights on off dash lights dimming but not at same time.. Weird.. Replacement circuit board is easy to get.. ?? Do they make new ones or should I say can get hold of one new or only old ones..

So what ya saying really makes complete sense to my dash problems all gauges reading inconsistency and lights dimming... If it is a plug and and nothing is plugged it probably won't work correctly..
 
Disagree at least for now. The main things you need to "fix."

1.. Search out threads on here about the ammeter circuit. There are many Then ask questions.

2....Dana mentioned the pins--the harness connector pins. These are originally riveted/ swedged in place and can work loose. Clean them up, flux with an electronic solder flux (not local store plumbing/ acid) and solder with electronics compatible LEADED solder In my case, several were broken, so I just scraped the traces bear in differnet spots, soldered pigtail wires, similar to the IVR has been done, and used alternative connectors. In my case used Molex style connectors and did away with the originals

3...Gauge studs can corrode and lose contact with the board. Loosen/ tighten the nuts several tmes, and consider replacing the fake nuts with real nuts and maybe star washers.

4...Clean the pc board where the bulb sockets contact, clean or replace the socket bulb contacts and board contact ears, and bend them for better tension

5...The IVR contact fingers can lose contact with the board traces. In the case of a plug-in IVR, solder bridges across from the contact fingers to the board traces, and in your case, make sure the wires for the IVR are flowed with solder with nice joints to the actual board traces

Yes, check classic industries for a part number then search other venders from there
 
The 69 Dart with non - rallye cluster has two circuit boards.
2771147 left
2771151 right
Many seller's to choose from.
Herb's, Mega parts, Year One ,eBay, etc.

Dart273 ..Thank you for your time in explaining it all. Yeah very green on this stuff.. Most people don't have the time or even want to share there knowledge.. Cheers..I'll let you know how I get along.
