If it is flat on the visable side it is not like the OEM which is curved
You say "if". Would be interested to know if this is true since the description on their website doesn't reference this....says it is made to original spec. I have not researched on others experience with this item on here, but since my car is not a true to spec restoration I am willing to sacrifice flat vs rounded in order to save a couple hundred dollars on such a small item. It has a chrome finish so unless I am being judged at a concourse event I am pretty sure the average person wandering the show floor is not going to be that picky. But, that being said, I still would like to hear back from others on quality issues seen or anything like that.

Checking on Precision's website, it is the exact same product they sell, so I think Jeg's is the place to get it.

The issue is the fit at the stainless trim, it wande curved and the flat doesn't go in well

Look at post 15, the last photo illustrates the OEM curve vs the aftermarket flatter.

BUT.... I don't know who made my lock strip as it came with my gasket.

See if jegs can give you the manufacturers info and see if they will send you a profile photo

Btw. I paid about that or less for each of my NOS lock strips.

Thanks for the info. The Jegs website has the same part number as the Precision website does, and lists Precision as the manufacturer. Jegs lists as per your post at $172.99. Precision wants $321 for the same thing. Shipping extra on both (I am in Canada and yea, that sucks for both shipping and exchange rate) I am presuming that, all things being equal, it is an identical product, and everything I have seen on here seems to indicate that the Precision product is good quality.

BTW... the seal I used was from DMT in 2023 was a PRP seal so the lock strip (Unless they changed it since then) should be the same as in my photos above
