6cyl 3spd to v8 bellhousing

my son is converting a 70 dart w/ a slant 6 ,3spd to a 318 and hopefully using the 3spd. What if any v8 bellhousing will bolt up to the 3spd . Any ideas?:burnout:

My guess would be that the 3 spd and 4 spd have the same trans/bellhousing bolt pattern. Therefore the trans should bolt up to a 318 small block bell housing.
Again just a guess though.
