7 1/4 rear end anyone??

I am going to swap out my 7 1/4 rear end on my dart for an 8 3/4. Anyone interested in the 7 1/4?? nothing wrong with it.. new drums and brake shoes about a yr ago. What's it worth?? would have to pick up

Just pulled the rear end out today. No sure grip. No tag for gears but I would say they are stock 2.76...

It should bolt right in his duster,but if his duster has large bolt in the front he will have to keep 2 spares

What do you mean by large bolts in the front? And 2 spare tires, or bolts?Thanks (recall I am the owner of the 73 Duster--my first car, not the mechanic)

Some 73 & up abodies had small bolt or big bolt with 7 1/4's

i put a 71/4 bbp in my demon that came out of a 73 dart 4dr

I know if you swap a 7 1/4 for an 8 3/4 you also have to get the driveshaft shortened. Does anyone know if you have to "adjust" the driveshaft length from going 8 1/4 to 7 1/4?

lengthen 1.6 inches from a 8.25 to a 7.25 (7.25 is a shorter nosed diff]
