Why won't this chart DIE? It's
not accurate for most of the rear ends listed. Like the B body rear end. There are 4 different B-body 8.75" width's for '62-70.
4. Some of the other measurements don't work out either, like the A-body 8 3/4 measurement which is
more than an inch off.
I can say that I measured the BBP 7.25" rear out of my '74 Duster at 51.5" flange to flange, so it is fairly accurate on that measurement. How the SBP 7.25's compare I don't know. I have seen someone say that the A-body 8.25's were also 51.5", but I haven't personally measured one to confirm.
What size tires/rims does your friend run? If they're close to stock dimensions, the swap shouldn't cause any major problems regardless. If they're maxed out in the wheel wells it might be a different story.
Here's a better list of the flange-flange measurements for the 8 3/4's. This isn't my list, but I can say I have personally confirmed the A body, E body, 65-67 and 68-70 B body, 65-69 C body and 65-71 D100 measurements listed.
