anybody running 7" wide wheels with 4" bs on the front of their 73+ disc cars? I'm looking for pictures to see how close to the fender this setup might be. Also interested in 6" wide with 4".

This is an older pic.
1974 with disc brakes.
but this is with 15X7 with 4.25" BS in the front. The Tire was a 215/60R15. No rubbing.
This is with winter tires. The rim is 15X7 with 4 in. BS. The tire is 205/65R15. It rubbed horribly with anything wider than that.
I now use 17 inch rims. The fronts are now 17X7 rim with 4.25 BS. and 225/50R17 tires. They did rub a tiny bit until I cranked the the torsion bars & raised the front by 1/2 an inch.
I do plan on getting 17X8's up front with 5-5.25 inch BS since pretty much the whole front suspension is aftermarket QA1 and PST.

Which A Body are you looking for fitment? It will vary.
On my 69 I use a 19mm offset on the front with 17x7. This comes out to ~4.75" back spacing.

Agree to a point. But as for front suspensions it will be pretty much the same on all 73+ disc brake cars. The only exception is that the Dodge Darts and Dart Sports may have slightly less fender issues due to the fender openings being swept out.

73 duster bbp. think I will go with the 17x6 4" bs with a 215 50. I'm looking at the weld laguna. Rears will be 17x8 4.5"bs with a 255 45

Nice! 17x6 with 4" BS should be good to go.
This is currently with 17x7 with 4.25" BS in the front and the rears are the same as what your planning 17x8 / 4.5 BS.
Tires currently are: Front 225/50R17 & Rear 255/50R17.
