70 dart rallye dash frame paint code question

hi, thanks for your help in advance. i've stripped my dash frame for my 70 dart and now i can't find the correct paint code and i want to get it right. the guy at the paint store kept telling me black is black is black. after explaining to him that mopar paint is sprinkled with holy water he still kept insisting that all blacks are the same:) i ended up getting dupli-color acrylic enamel spray paint code number DA1603 (semi-gloss black), but i'm not convinced this would be correct. any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks
 
1st find a new paint guy if he think all blacks are the same.

I usually use SEM trim black. You can buy it in spray cans or in quarts.
 
The paint on the dash steel is a suede finish, not glossy at all.
I used the same SEMS Landau black that I used on plastics like defrost vents, column cover, on my dash and dry sprayed the final coat.
 
thanks for the help guys i'm gonna order some at that web site tomorrow. what kinda hardner do i need to get or do i even need the hardner. i'm pretty new to this stuff so any help would be awesome. thaqnks
 
No hardener if you order it in lacquer. Just paint and lacquer thinner.
