Hi all. I am working on getting my wife's Dart back in tip top shape. I need to order some interior pieces/repaint good ones and want to make sure I am getting the correct colors. The VIN doesn't seem to tell me this. Our VIN is:
L - Dart A Body
L - Low
23 - 2 Dr Hardtop
C - 225 RG engine
0 - 1970
E - LA, CA
1966 to 1974 Chrysler Corporation V.I.N. system decoding
There is another plate in the engine compartment that I thought might have this, but I haven't found a site that decodes that. Any suggestions?
The interior is brown (see pics) but when I look at the catalogs, there are so many different variations it is confusing, lol. I have looked through YearOne & Classic Industries catalogs and cannot find the right colors. Seems like tan with dark saddle carpet to me. Anyone know off-hand?
Finally, regardless of which brown, there don't seem to be many offerings for the parts I need (Front seat cover, armrest pads, armrest bases, headrest covers, carpet). Would the car have the paint spec stamped anywhere? Would Classic & YearOne be the best place to purchase?
