70 swinger bumble bee stripe / valance installaton ?

70 swinger tail stripe . Is it cut and folded in the crack/seam with the valance?/ Or is it done in two seperate pieces and run ~1/4 in. around both panel edges ??? . Factory installation style wanted .Thanks
