So i did a little searching and so far this seems to be the best bang for buck and has the least amount of modification. However, i would probably want to have a shop install the tranny to save a headache. Would this be all that expensive?(assuming i had the tranny/bellhousing adapter ready to go)

It doesnt seem like it would be more then a few hours work based on my limited experience of taking out transmissions.

and yeah i saw the 200r4 postings, but i don't plan to build an extremely high hp setup. I just want the drivability so i can get "ok" mpg while commuting to the track.

Crossmember fabbed, driveline changed, mods to the tunnel(?), figuring out the speedo etc......gonna be more than "a few hours" I imagine

I'm seriously considering the 200-4R since Art Carr told me it will fit in the stock A-body trans tunnel better than the 700R4. I like the gear ratios better as well.
Suggest you double check to make sure you won't need to do any trans tunnel work to make it fit.
