I am looking for a way to add cruise to my 71Duster. Did the mid to late 70's E58 cars have cruise available? Is that cruise compatible with a manual trans? Does anybody have a pic, and or schematics for that set up? Are there better options to put a cruise on a TQ equipped, manually shifted smallblock. 71 Duster if that info is needed. Thanks

There are aftermarket units that are not too hard to install. A magnet is zip tied to the drive shaft, cancel switch added to clutch, brake circuit, vacuum dash pot with cable under hood. Turn signal mounted stalk for normal controls. I think I have a few around, but would need to test due to age.

I had one of those magnets ziptied to my drive shaft and a whole mess of junk that went with it.

It was the very first thing to get pulled off my car..

I added the cruise control from a 1970 new yorker to my 72 Dart back in the day , pretty simple , but mine was automatic

The cruise setup from a 70's Dodge Truck (pretty common) bolts right in to an A-Body and looks factory
