70's engine to 65 727 trans

i got my car with the orginal trans in it with no moter. can i bolt a ealry 70's 318 to the orginal trans? thanks for your help

If the trans is for a slant, no go. If it is for a 273 any small block will bolt to it with the right converter.

it came with a 273, i need a new convertor anyways so i will remmener that for sure thank you!

Make sure you get a converter for the right year trans cause they changed them in the late 60's. Different spline count. The converter will also have to be for a 318 engine as the converters for a 273 had a different size hub register.
