Heads casting #

Intake #

Exhaust manifold casting #

Adam, all those numbers except the heads are out of the 71 parts book. The 894 heads 340srule referenced are the X head casting and were pretty much finished in production in early 1970. They were replaced by the 915 "j" casting starting in 1970.

I need to talk with Bob about his distributor listing over at Lightning Jar, that thing is all over the place. I believe the 71 340 listing is an electronic replacement.

I also thought that the "915" head was being used by '71 but when I looked at different listings it mentioned the "894" head. I guess I wasn't completely nuts in thinking it was the "915".

Thanks again guys. Im trying to put together a real good list of this type of thing. Everyone has the same list posted and most have wrong info, Like the head castings or 71 being Xs

Also I need the intake carb and exhaust to build my car FAST legal.

Adam, some of the part #'s will vary, depending on if it was a late build '71.
It then will have the Thermoquad and electronic distributor.
I'll go and pop the hood and get these numbers for you.

Late build '71, 4 speed, these are the #'s I've got off my Duster Adam.

Carb.= Thermoquad 4972S 3620 (lwr flange).
Intake = 3512100
Dist. = 3656151 (electronic).

Sorry I didn't feel like pulling the valve covers bud, too cold at the moment, to get the casting #.
"J" heads with 2.02" for sure.

If you are going with a electronc distributor (which became available in 71) the id# is 3656151 manual 3438896 automatic trans.

Also refering to wrong part number's.There are part numbers and casting numbers,which I have discovered over the last couple days.
