I have a 71/4 rearend in my Barracuda with a factory installed sure-grip.
Gear ratio is 276 - I want to install a set of 323's and pinion that I picked up.
Question.
Will the 323's bolt up to the sure-grip with no problems?
I have already purchased new bearings complete and proper oil and additive.
Is there anything else I may need to do this?
Thanks.

I imagine that gearbox has a squash collar in it. If so you'll need a new one.
Have you considered outsourcing that job to a local pro, like a 4 wheel drive service center ?

Does anyone know where I can buy a shur grip to add to my open 7 1/4 differential? I ahve been looking but no luck so far.
TIA, DM

My suregrip was a factory install. I didn't even know it was for years untill I went to change the oil and it even still had the suregrip tag on the cover bolt.
And I'm still wondering how interchangeable the 71/4 maybe?

The gears should swap. The only thing that I know for sure that changed over the years was the axle spline count and flange to flange width on the housing. That happened in '73 when the 7 1/4" was changed to accomodate the large bolt pattern wheels. The only gear swap I know of that won't work is the 2.45:1 8 1/4" carrier will not accept any other gear set. Dad put 3.91s in our '67 Valiant around '70 or '71 and the gears came from the dealer. If your gear set is within that year range, I know for sure it will work.
